Health research analysts required to work in a team of ‘evidologists’ based in central London

Full or part time 12 month fixed term contract, with a view to a permanent position on completion

Based at Bazian Ltd, 10 Fitzroy Square, London W1T 5HP

Indicative salary range - £25,000 to £33,000 pro rata per annum depending on experience

Bazian specialises in applying clinical evidence to help optimise health within limited healthcare budgets. As a result of our continuing growth, we seek new staff to join us. We are seeking to appoint one or more Health Research Analysts to work within a team of experienced evidologists. The post-holder will work in a team with other members of the science unit to produce high quality, rapid analysis of health research, in addition to working with a wide range of stakeholders and supporting the wider work of Bazian.

This position covers the following areas of responsibility:

  • Reviewing and appraising research
  • Extracting quantitative and qualitative data from research
  • Interpreting and communicating conclusions from research information

This is a fantastic opportunity for the right candidates to further their experience and expertise in the real-world application of Evidence-Based Medicine, playing a central role in a strong and highly motivated team who share the common goal of improving health through evidence.

Applicants should have a health-related degree, post degree experience and the ability to learn quickly in new areas. A postgraduate qualification in a scientific, pharmacy or medical field (PhD or MSc/MPH in public health) and specific experience in health services research or design, evaluation and interpretation of research are desirable.  

An ability to interpret and represent complex information simply and to balance competing evidence is critical. Experience of Microsoft Word and Excel is essential as are excellent communication skills.
