Earlier this month NICE launched a new version of its online portal, NHS Evidence (www.evidence.nhs.uk) – which provides health and social care professionals with access to quality-assured, best-practice information –at the NICE conference in Birmingham. The new release aims to better signpost health and social care professionals to relevant sources of information so they can make evidence-based, informed care decisions.
Core to the delivery of this improved service is the redesign of the 34 Specialist Collections into two new specialist information management services, to be known as ‘Evidence Hubs’ which will provide comprehensive coverage cross several topic areas.
The first Evidence Hub, covering about one third of the total number of topics, is based in NICE’s Manchester office. We are delighted to announce that the second Evidence Hub, covering the remaining two thirds of the topics, is provided by Bazian. We are extremely privileged that The King’s Fund are working alongside us and looking after the topic areas of Health Management and Commissioning.
We’re thrilled to have this chance to work with NHS Evidence and The King’s Fund to provide a first class evidence-based resource which we hope will be a big hit with users.
